History of Human Initiative
Since its establishment in 1999, Human Initiative has become one of the leading humanitarian organizations addressing various issues, from natural disasters to community empowerment programs. Human Initiative Korea, founded in 2014, focuses on bridging the Indonesian diaspora community in Korea with humanitarian needs in Indonesia and supporting infrastructure projects such as mosque construction in Korea. Unlike the original Human Initiative, which operates in Indonesia, the Korean branch is more oriented towards cross-border collaboration, especially for the diaspora. The presence of Human Initiative Korea expands this mission to a global level, focusing on the unique needs of the Indonesian community in South Korea.
Who We Are
Human Initiative Korea, established in 2014, is a global strategic partner of Human Initiative, focusing on the positive impact of program implementation on society and considering the nexus between humanitarian and development aspects as the program's scope. This strategy is implemented through four main program pillars: Initiative for Children, Initiative for Empowerment, Initiative for Disaster Risk Management, and Initiative for Infrastructure.
